Emmerich This music sounds truly old, from the classical guitar playing to the slight tonal flatness of Valser’s vocal styling, which makes it sound like she's channeling experiences from another century. One of my favorite records from 2016.

about

Dana Valser is a singer from Spain, paying close attention to ancient folklore and intimate and obscure sounds of the heart. Her voice full of a deep melancholy around which arpeggios roughly played like an old blues by Christophe Langdale. In the background resonate banjo, guitars, lap steel by Michel Henritzi, as sad echo of that living song.
